1月, the Athletic Department sponsors a Cancer Awareness night and sells t-shirts to be worn at a rivalry basketball game. Barton's 生命接力 receives a portion of the money raised from this event. The amount raised in 2015 from this fundraiser was over $1,100!

Barton's 生命接力 team hosts Jean Day to raise funds for American Cancer Society's 生命接力 for cancer research and to assist individuals, 以及他们的家人, 谁被诊断为癌症. 生命接力 Event (Friday, June 12th, 2015)
This is a 12-hour event that takes place at Jack Kilby Square on the second Friday of June. Relay For Life starts at dusk and ends at the next day's morning. The light and darkness of the day and night parallel the physical effects, 情感, and mental state of a cancer patient while undergoing treatment.
